La prochaine édition de l’Enduro des Sables aura lieu finalement le dimanche 26 août 2018. Nous avions la grande conviction que la date du 12 août aurait permis à l’événement de continuer à se développer en touchant, notamment les touristes, qui ont souvent quitté Coutainville après le 19 août et qui ont été nombreux à nous dire qu’ils sont privés de cette belle fête de la course à Pied qui est programmée trop tard. Les commerçants – qui ont salué notre travail et nos résultats en 2017, eux, préfèrent que cet événement ait lieu le dernier week-end d’août pour clôturer la saison.
L’Enduro est gérée depuis un an par une association indépendante, dont la mission n’est pas de proposer une animation de fin de saison – C’était le rôle de l’Office de Tourisme qui a passé la main- mais d’en assurer la bonne organisation et, de faire grandir l’événement qui reste fragile, tout en veillant à préserver l’âme de cette course est magique et unique. Nous avons, cependant, besoin du soutien de tous pour pour y arriver. Nous espérons sincèrement que l’idée fera son chemin. Un été prochain…
